Stainless steel coil has excellent resistance to acid, heat, corrosion resistance, making it an ideal basis for the commercial application of materials. The range of stainless steel coil can be divided into 300 series and 400 series, the former belongs to nickel, with a capacity of more than 85%, which is chromium, the use of a smaller amount.

 

304 Stainless Steel is the most widely used of the austenitic (chromium/nickel) stainless steels. In the annealed condition it is essentially non-magnetic and becomes slightly magnetic with the application of cold work. Type 304L Stainless Steel is preferred in welding applications to exclude the formation of chromium carbides during cooling in the heat affected region of the weld. These alloys represent an excellent combination of corrosion resistance and fabricability.

PACKING

• Standard Coating: Paper Interleaved, PE or Laser PE Coating are available

• Standard Package: Cardboard encase the ends of the coil, with core and outer steel edge protection. Metal Straps are to be placed around coil and pallet timber, and align with metal edge protection

• Eye to Sky and Eye to Sides package are both acceptable

• Wooden Pallets or customized Pallets are acceptable


Mirror (No.8, Non-Directional) is a high gloss, polished finish, having a high degree of reflectiveness which can be done on all the grades of stainless steel. It is produced by progressively using finer abrasives and finally finishing with extremely fine buffing compounds. Stanch Mirror surface is blemish free and has perfect reflective quality. 


Production:

Chemical wet polish is way different from dry polish. Dry polish can only get No.7 finish which is brighter than BA but with directional lines. Our chemical polishing process provides non-directional super mirror finish which is totally transparent without any line marks.

The reflectivity of Mirror finish creates light and space and is easily fabricated. Unlike glass mirror, Mirror can be used in food preparation, ceiling and high pedestrian areas because it will not shatter. Because of its uniform consistency, it's also excellent for panel-to-panel matching, which is suitable for architectural applications, such as wall panels, coping and trim. However, artists and others find many creative uses for it.

 

Grinding finish, also called brushed, directional or satin finish. It was characterized by short, parallel polishing lines that are uniform and direction in appearance, which extend uniformly along the length of the coil or sheet. This is a ground unidirectional finish obtained with 150/180/240/320 grit abrasive.

 

Higher grit numbers produce finer polishing lines. The general purpose of this finish is widely used for restaurant and kitchen equipment, storefronts, food processing and dairy equipment.

 

FINISH AND SPECIFICATION

Grinding Coils & Sheets

(No.3/No.4/No.5/No.6)  

This is a ground unidirectional finish obtained with 150/180/240/320 grit abrasive, which is characterized by parallel brushing lines, it is also known as Satin. These finishes are mostly used in architectural applications for both practical and esthetic reasons, in dairy equipment and also in the automotive sector.

 

SB:

It's a semi-dull finish with uniform grain, which is obtained using finer abrasives than No.4/NO.5/NO.6. This finish has smooth, soft and exquisite grains which has a low level of reflectivity and unidirectional texture, which is suitable for using in internal architectural applications.

 

HL:

Seemingly endless polishing lines extend uniformly along with the length of the coil give the hairline. It's a well-defined directional finish with long-grain and fine-line. Most commonly used in elevators, escalators, automotive sector, interior cladding, building facades, trim....

 

PROCESSING:

Types 304 and 304L cannot be hardened by thermal treatment. Annealing: Heat to 1850o F to 2050 o F and cool at sufficiently high rates through 1500oF to 800oF to avoid precipitation of chromium carbides. Stress Relief Annealing: Cold worked parts should be stress relieved at 750oF for ½ to 2 hours.

 

FORMING:

Annealed Types 304 and 304L can be fabricated by roll forming, deep drawing, bending and most other fabrication techniques. Due to the high work hardening rate of these materials, intermediate anneals maybe required to successfully fabricate the part.

 

WELDING:

Types 304 and 304L are weldable by most fusion or resistance welding techniques. If filler metal is required, Type 308 is normally used. Type 304L should be used in heavier sections to reduce the occurrence of carbide precipitation in the heat affected region adjacent to the weld pool

 

CORROSION:

Types 304 and 304L provides corrosion resistance in a wide range of moderately oxidizing and reducing conditions, fresh water and non-marine applications.
